TITLE - PERFECT PAINT V1.34 DESCRIPTION - 32 COLOUR IFF ART PACKAGE AUTHOR - RICHARD JOHNSTON DATE - JANUARY 1993 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- INSTRUCTIONS Colour Squares - Left Mouse = Select as foreground Colour. Right Mouse = Select as background colour. Free Hand Tool - Free hand Drawing. Once selected pressing the left mouse will paint in the foreground colour while pressing the right mouse button will delete with the background colour. Pressing the right mouse button on the icon will select Free-hand sketching mode which is operated in the same way as normal Free Hand mode. Straight Line - Allows straight lines to be produced with ease. Just click with the left mouse button at the starting point of the line and drag the mouse to the lines finishing point, now release the mouse button and the line will be drawn in the current foreground colour. This procedure can be repeated using the right mouse button to delete lines. Pressing the right mouse button on the icon will allow you to produce a rayline burst from a central point selected by clicking the left mouse button. Hollow Circle - Allows perfectly round cirles to be created in seconds. Place the mouse at the point you wish to be the centre of the circle. Now hold down the left mousebutton and drag the mouse outwards until the circle is correctly sized. Now release and the circle will be drawn. Hollow Square - Same as circle tool except rectangles are drawn. Hollow Ellipse - Same as circle tool but draws ellipses (Ovals). Filled Ellipse - Draws an ellipse the same way as the hollow ellipse but the ellipse is coloured in. Filled Square - As square but rectangles are solid. Clicking the icon with the right mouse button allows 4 sided polygons to be created by clicking the mouse button in the places where you require them, Flood Fill - Simply move the mouse pointer to an area and press the left mouse button. The area will then be filled with the current foreground colour and current fill pattern (Explained Later). The area to be coloured must be completely surround by another colour else the fill will leak out to other areas of the screen. Scissors Icon - Allows you to cut out a square from the picture and use it as a brush. This allows almost any brush to be used. The only limitation is the size. Brushs quite large can be picked up but not the size of the screen. This would generate a BRUSH ERROR. Magnify Tool - Allows you to enclose a section of your picture inside a rectangle of any size. The enclosed section will then be blown up to the full screen size so small detail can be easily examined. T/Text Icon - Clicking on this icon with the left button will let you type text onto your picture. Once you have clicked on the icon click anywhere on your picture. You can now type using the keyboard. Pressing ENTER will abort this operation. Clicking on the icon with the right button will change the font/letter style that you type in. There are ten seperate fonts built in to Perfect Paint. Spray Can - This is an airbrush tool that sprays the screen around the mouse pointer in a grafitti style. CLR - Clicking with the right mouse button on this icon will erase your current picture. The Arrow Icon - Allows you to pick a colour from the screen to use as the current foreground colour. Load IFF - Use left MB to load standard 32 colour IFF files. Use right MB to load AMOS Spack picture files. Save IFF - Left MB to save your picture in standard IFF form. Use Right MB to save in AMOS SPACK file format. Delete - Please take care when using this option as it is a file deleter. Using this you can delete any standard Amiga Dos file. UNDO Icon - This option "undoes" your last drawing operation. Ideal for erasing mistakes. This function, however, is not compatible with all functions. The Q Icon - Pressing the right mouse button here will quit the paint package. The ? Icon - Brings up the about and quick reference screen. Pressng a mousebutton will return you to your picture. Double Arrows - These allow you to flip a custom brush Horizontally and vertically by clicking on the appropriate Icon. Fill square - Clicking the left button here will advance the fill pattern by one. There are 40 built in. Pressing the right mouse button on this icon will return to the default,plain colour fill. RGB filter - Clicking on the RGB arrows lets you increase the Red,Green and Blue intensity of any colour in your palette. NB.
