Mat's home page (kinda)

Luckily you can't see my yellow fishnets...

Don't ask where the picture comes from, it was a long time ago OK? :-) Anyway, OK so I've set up my home page. Kinda. I'll stick some cool stuff on here eventually but there's so much to do on the whole CU WWW site and I'm learning all the time about this HTML stuff so this'll take a back burner

Who am I? Born in Darwin, Australia, I rather fancied I'd like work for an Amiga Magazine though of course recognised this for the pipe dream it was. Since then I've studied electronic engineering and journalism to a lesser degree in between traveling the less known armpits of the world. Eventually I ended up in London and whilst getting thoroughly fed up of rubbish techy type work, managed to land a job at CU Amiga. Oh dear. My wife has never forgiven me since working in your ideal job consumes an infinite amount of free time also.

Comms maniac that I am, the CU team have never forgiven me and I'm sure hours or surfing and IRCing would get on their wick if it wasn't for the fact that it brings a lot to the magazine. At least that's what I tell them. (grin)

Anyway, techy dreamer plot hatcher that I am, there's a bunch of wierd and wonderful stuff I'm involved in. Some time I'll get some links and stuff here and hopefully a few other interesting bits and bobs. Hell, maybe I'll even do a regular anecdote or story of the week. Hehe. Who knows? Until next time...

Here's my girlfriend Jeannine.

Well OK it isn't. It's a scan of a postcard a Nowegian gentleman sent in for a competition. Mmm... Does this affect your chances of winning? Well, it depends how good they are. :-)
