CU Amiga's E-mail Mailing Lists
Well before we fired up these WWW pages, CU Amiga Magazine was involving
you, the reader, in helping shape the magazine to what you want to see. For
this purpose are two mailing lists of the following topics;
- cu-announce - Low traffic group which sends out news and contents lists
only
- cu-amiga - Medium traffic group which is a two-way discusion with the staff
of CU Amiga and other readers.
Note! You only need to be on one or the other. The announce postings are
made to the cu-amiga discussion list too.
You can subscribe or unsubscribe to any of the mailing lists by sending email to
listserv@cu-amiga.co.uk.
Some of the commands understood by the ListSERV program are:
- HELP
Sends a help file. This is also sent whenever a message to
ListSERV is received from which no valid command could be
parsed.
- ADD [address] listname
DELETE [address] listname
Adds or deletes the given address to or from the list
specified. Mail is sent to the address given to confirm the
add or delete operation. If you omit the 'address' the
command will assume the mailbox that is in the From: line of
the message.
The command must be the first word on each line in the message!
Examples:
add cu-amiga
delete joe@uunet.uu.net cu-announce
Note that you mail submissions to a mailing list by addressing mail to
the list's name at this site (e.g., cu-amiga@cu-amiga.co.uk ). If you have any
questions or need assistance, you can send email to mat@cu-amiga.co.uk for a
human answer.
