The SID-chip... A wonderful invention i admire and love. It's the music heart in a C64. Its lovely sound has made me speechless more than once =). So why a SID-emulator i hear you ask. Even though the best way to play the tunes are on a real C64, it's some times nice to be able to listen to them in an easier way. This is why SID-emulation has been made in the first place.

So why MindSID... There were already a nice SidPlay port by Phill Wooller. But i missed a GUI, and there never came one.

As i could only program Asm, i had to learn C. So after some weeks of learning and programming i had the first working version of MindSID =).

As i earlier had started coding on a C-64 emulator, i took the 6510 emulation-core (pure asm) from it and MindSID got a nice speedup. From that point MindSID has come a long way. It now has nice config, playlist, mixer, realtime filter editor etc.

Enough with this... just try it !!!!
