About: SView PPC Modules (V23.1) Since some time there are plugins for SuperView-Library available, which utilize the PowerPC (TM) on phase5's powerUP (TM) boards to increase speed of several basic operations as well as various image file loaders/savers and image processing operators. For the latest information on SView, SView/PPC or any other related topic, please see the corresponding WWW pages. For example (list may be incomplete) the following software will profit in one or more ways from these PPC modules: Image Engineer (Shareware) Picture Manager professional (ENGLISH) (Commercial) Picture Manager professional (GERMAN) (Commercial) DRAFU (Draw A Function) (Freeware) Other related sites for example are: Latest News RegNet registration page RegNet key generator: download DeRegNet
Technically: SView PPC Modules for PPC-Library (.svm) Technically spoken, the PPC modules work as "plugin in the plugin": being programmed as ELF modules for phase5's ppc.library, these will plug into existing SVObject/SVOperator modules of SuperView-Library as soon as there's a powerUP (TM) board plus a working ppc.library present - otherwise, they won't do any harm, just being ignored. Technically: SView PPC Modules for WOS (.dll) Technically spoken, the PPC modules work as "plugin in the plugin": being programmed as ELF modules for H&P's powerpc.library, these will plug into existing SVObject/SVOperator modules of SuperView-Library as soon as there's a powerUP (TM) board plus a working powerpc.library present - otherwise, they won't do any harm, just being ignored. It is automatically recognized, which PPC kernel is present, and which modules can and should be used. However, since there's now a PPC-Library emulation for WOS available, settings can be changed through the preferences for "svppclaunch.library" (via SVPrefs). Starting with V0.6b of the emulation, one may even achieve results better than with the original ppc.library and with the WOS native versions. PPC-Library emulation for WOS can be found at the homepage of Frank Wille.
