"Personal Homepage"


 Well, this is my personal homepage.
 As usual, it's still under construction ;)

 But basically there's not much to tell, anyway...

 After the german college (Abitur) I early decided to make a 2-year education
 as computer specialist (Datenverarbeitungskaufmann) which included programming
 courses as well as aspects of business administration, working on information
 systems and network administration - this has been made possible by the traditional
 german "dual education" system where a regular job and education are combined.

 Later on I started to study Computer Science at the University of Siegen
 (Universität-Gesamthochschule Siegen) which basically offers two different
 categories where the interested one can achieve a diploma in computer science.

 First, there's

     Hardware Design and Computer Science (Technische Informatik;
                                           goal is Diplom-Ingenieur = Dipl.-Ing)

 and since 1998 (2nd half) there's also

     Information Systems (Wirtschaftsinformatik,
                          goal is Diplom-Wirtschaftsinformatiker = Dipl.-Wirt.-Inform.)

 teached. Since then, I've added the latter and do study both of them ;)

 However, Technische Informatik has priority, since I've already got my
 pre-diploma there and now just have to perform the remaining examinations
 and obtain some certificates before I can start on my diploma thesis.
