Yes, very easy.

formulas to calculate the sums.

They click a button on the A600, right?  That is also no problem.
The Button, however, has to execute an ARexx-Script. The "Start"
script sets a field to the current time and the "End" script
calculates witht the time of the start script time the time used.

If you do not mind if it could take 1 month (more or less) and
it would be also okay, that the whole project would be freely
distributable, I could write the scripts for you.
