Digital Fusion
Effects Software

Special Effects and compositing software for the Video Professional.

Digital Video
Direct support and control of DPS Hollywood, Perception, and PAR boards. PAL and NTSC video with full field processing. Full support for DPS Hollywood 10-bit D1 uncompressed digital video system for totally unlimited layering and compositing with no image compression loss or artifacts. Also loads and saves to many popular image formats, including Targa, TIFF, JPEG, BMP, AVI, etc.

Advanced Warping and Image Manipulation
Corner and Perspective Positioning. Apply Drips, Vortex, Refractions, Deform Effects. Transform, rotate, scale, move, cut, crop, resize, and stretch image sequences, all splined over time. All effects can be "flowed" into each other or layered on top of each other for limitless combinations of effects.

Superior Chroma Keyer
Halo Reject Color Spill, Color Correction, Soft-Edge and Matte shape control. Full spline control of color correction features. Soft-edged blur control, matte shrink expansion. Halo rejection reduces spill colors from the chroma screen background.

Time Stretching
Full spline control of temporal sequences. Slow down and speed up, with spline curve control. (Time Interpolation)

Resolution Independence
Any resolution images can be mixed and matched independently into a final output. Up to 4K resolution 64 bit film resolution, direct in & out to Kodak Cineon format.

Image Tracking
Automated target tracking, steadying, and stabilizing. Unlimited number of tracking points. Unlimited tracking points can also be used to track effects such as Ripples.

Motion Paths
Spline motion paths are used to animate the positions of layers, effects, and control points of functions using bezier curves.

Glows
Glow halos, simulate camera blowout and highlights, hotspots, etc. Highlights can be added to any sequence, with the ability to specify the threshold levels, blend, number of points, angle and length of highlights.

Motion Blur
A variety of motion blurs are provided, ranging from straight line to radial to circular. Complete control over length, direction and blend of the blur is available.

Effect Masking
Processing of any effect can be masked by any number of shapes, including circles, rectangles, and curved polygons. The transparency and edge softness can be set individually for each shape, and can be chosen from a selection of options, including Replace, Add, Maximum, Minimum, Average, etc. These masks can be fully animated using motion paths or even trackers.

32 bit or 64 bit Image Processing
Images are processed at 4:4:4:4 (32 bit) or 8:8:8:8 (64 bit). Subpixel supersample processing is done for superior antialiasing and image quality.

Multi-Threaded and Multi-Processor
Fully optimized for multi-threading and multiple processors. This gives the user a real time interactive working environment with no waiting. More than one work flow can be set up, controlled and rendered at the same time.

Object Oriented
Object Oriented Drag and Drop interface design. Any control can be animated by connecting any of a variety of curves and paths. Trackers can be used to animate any point as easily as motion paths, and operators can be connected in any way imaginable. Startling and unusual effects are possible by combining operators in new ways.
