The StudioCard has several hardware inputs that allow locking it's playback to an NTSC/PAL video source or house sync, LTC/VITC timecode, or internally directly to the DPS Perception card. The audio recording and playback is then locked to this reference source directly by the DSP processor on the StudioCard, and is not affected by the host system interrupts, data flow, CPU speed, or other problems that plague other audio cards when they are used in a professional editing environment. We have personally tested the StudioCard with a DPS Perception and Speed Razor Pro and Video Action NT with a project over 60 minutes in length, and the StudioCard maintains perfect lip-sync throughout the entire project. The StudioCard is recognized as a standard "system" sound card, so no special software updates or plugins for your editing software is needed in order to make use of the StudioCard.
