this is a good alternative to ArcDir, the good news is that is
working. but fail in some things for example, if you have an
archive with gfx files for example you cna make double-click for
filetype recognition but if you have a lister button for view
graphics don't work. and don't preserve the dates of the files in
the archive (i don't know if this is a fault of XAD system)

i think that a good compromise can be put archive file add/delete
to LHA and LZX (and maybe to ZIP) using the same method in
ArcDir, calling the executables. in the case of the module with a
call to Execute()...

this is a problem of the 1.2 version present in Aminet. 1.1
version don't present this problem, i wait that this bug is
already fixed shortly... use the 1.1 version that i send to you
privately.

yep, XADOpus can decompress, tar, gzip, tar.gz , zip, ar, cab,
etc files... and 1.1 version work with dms files very well
