I think that broad statement was a little too broad. My Thunderbird setup
correctly
detected the appropriate settings from my new RAM.
Seems there's a bit of FUD floating around about AMD systems, especially on the
Amiga lists, yet it's in our best interests to be reliably informed about
these things
now that we're are (soon) going to have such a wide choice of hardware to
run the
DE on.
Early K7 chipsets and motherboards sure had a multitude of problems but things
have definitely improved.
Personally I would prefer the first x86 AmigaOne be AMD and not
Intel. Then again,
hopefully I'll never need to buy x86 again in my life. Fingers crossed...
