Funny you mention this, I have 2x A2000 powwr supplies
in my workshop at the moment that are faulty..

Both of them have low voltage problems, only 9 volts
on the 12 volt rail & strangely enough, the 5 volt rail is
actually a bit high, 5.8v.

I suspect the electrolytic capacitors have dried out & am in the
process of changing the lot to see that will allow a quicky-fix.

I suspect your A3000 one is in the same boat...
You could always take it to your local (TV) Technician &
ask for all the Electrolytics to be replaced,
90% chance that will shut it up.

Also, just in case you weren't aware of this,
the A3000 have a NiCad battery for the Battery Clock,
it sits smack in the middle (nearly) of the board & leaks all
over the place, usually destroying it, Permanently,
if you havn't checked it lately for leakage, do so now !!

PS: I have 3 good A3000 power supplies here, but it's a bit far away
go sell you one, unless you're desperate. ??
If you're in the US, note: These are 240v ones....

They are from the 3 dead A3000's (clock battery leaked)
With a hole burnt through the board that you can stick
your finger through...

Regards
