I cannot think of any way, without any special software as it is. It may be
possible to make a commodity to do this.

What do you wish to achieve by doing this? If it is to eliminate ghosted
icons on the workbench screen, then if you insert a PC disk, then you will
still get a ghosted df0: disk icon.
If you are using WB3.5, I have a commodity that I have written that will
sort this problem out in a much better way. It /should/ be appearing on
AACD 15 (I ftp'd it to AACD reader submissions a couple of weeks ago), or I
could email it to you as an attachment.

If you are trying to save memory, then the cure may prove to be worse than
the symptoms.

I don't have Opus, nor do I use MCP any more, so I don't know what
facilities they have.
