At the time my buffer was about 25mb, though the MP3's I was writing were
rather large as most of them are 8-10 minute tracks.

I know, but I love showing off that I've got the fastest (for the moment) CD
writer available. :)

Looks like the only way I'm gong to speed this up is chucking more buffer ram
to MakeCD, and/or buying a PPC.
