That's true. However, by posting from a CS&E mail address, and
discussing matters involving CS&E, no amount of "I'm speaking as a
private individual" claims are going to stop people associating the
comments with the company.

I echo Dave's advice to consider using a different name Dirk. Anyone who
thinks poorly of CS&E's past record will be less inclined to give you
the benefit of the doubt. A clean start is almost certainly preferable.
