I know everyone wants to forget about this but I've only just read though
the thread.
Firstly if anyone was *really distressed* by Mr Connolly's private emails
then they _*may*_ able report him to the police. Some of what he wrote was
threatening and _*may *_constitute as a hate crime, something which all
european governments are really cracking down on. I'll emphesise that you
should only take action if you were *REALLY DISTRESSED*, because any legal
proceeding would be very dragged out and may not be worth it otherwise.
Secondly if Mr Connolly's remarks about Pinprint publishing can be proved to
have no substance, then Pinprint Publishing _*may*_ be able to take his ISP
to court if they have been notified about his behaviour before and have not
taken any action. There was a case recently where (I beleive it was
Compuserve or Demon) were successfully sued over defamortory messages thier
users had posted on a public forum about a Doctor.
_*Disclaimer*_
Obviously check with a legal consultant before taking any of the above
action (*I'm not a lawyer*), but I thought you should be aware that there
is a *possiblity* that legal action could be taken against Mr Connolly if
you believe that he has caused personal or commercial damage.
