Do any AGA programs run? If they do, the your title bar program is
just confused. If system software can't open AGA screenmodes, but
hardware hitting stuff can (demos etc.) then your software isn't set
up right.
If no aga things work at all, but ECS stuff works fine, then I have no
idea. If a chip was broken, then the amiga probably wouldn't even
boot.

The only thing I know that does that is internal scan-doublers

Ah ha, prehaps the problem is the wrong version of setpach
installed? (that sets the cpu up etc. and enables aga) Copy the old
one of the 3.0 disks

'datacache disabled' right? Thats what the datacache are for, to speed
the cpu up :)
