The mail you replied to was from Neil to me, because I said before on
this list that I will not make announcements on this list without
permission of the list tirants. I have no intention to bash Neils head
(although I have been known to get into friendly insulting games with
him on another mailing list, but all in good spirit). I hold the
entire team of AA in high regard. My contacts with Neil, David
(Stroud) and Andrew Korn have always been friendly. Even more on
topic: I think they make a darned fine, informative and goodlooking
mag. I can understand Neil answering me to my question on this list,
while still refering to the not so nice mails that have been going on,
but I think Neil is intelligent enough to know that I did not write
any of those mails. He simply told me: sure make announcements, but
don't make them blatant plugs, and don't go around insulting people.
Which is basic list behaviour AFAIK.
As to offering them a pint: If any of the AA team ever comes to
Germany (or someone wants to fund me going to England), I would be
happy and honoured to buy them a drink. And of course I wouldn't
refuse if they want to buy me a drink :)
There's no need for me to talk things over with them over a drink,
because we don't have any problems with eachother (that I know of),
but I think it would be fun meeting them and sharing a drink or two.
