I'm sorry to bring you bad news :(. David Connolly indeed pulled out
of the Amiga market. No need anymore to discuss his behaviour on this
list as far as I can see. But I think there is potential for an Amiga
/ PC distributor, and I am sorry to say that in some form CS&E will
still try to distribute / sign on Amiga games.
This will not be done by David Connolly, but by yours truly. I know
that I might look insane in your eyes for doing such a thing, but I
think there is some potential left in the market. I can't promise you
Carmageddon (sp?) because we won't port it to Amiga for the time
being, and if I have to promise anything, I want to be sure of my
facts.
All I ask of you is to give me a fair chance to make this business
venture work. I won't demand you buy what I offer, but don't judge me
on past mistakes made by other people. I will surely make my own
mistakes, so you can judge me by those :).
This is not an official press release, just a personal note. The first
title I have to offer is already in my hands, waiting to be burned on
CD, but I won't advertise it here without first asking permission from
the list tirants. I don't know how / if this will work out, but I like
a challenge, and this seemed like the most challenging thing I could
do at the moment.
Recap: an independent branch of CS&E will try and get Amiga stuff out.
No promises, but at least I can try until my bankmanager stops me. I
am not David Connolly (as you can tell by my name), and no, David
won't be making his re-appearance in the Amiga market as far as I
know.
