I'm running a GT5000 on a Win98SE Athlon machine here, no problem at all.
One thing that springs to mind is, what are your parallel port settings
currently ? You may find that changing from EPP to ECP (or whatever
other par port settings you can find in the BIOS) may help. Is there a
clash with memory locations ? Mine is on a secondary parallel port card
and uses location 278 in the Setup software and BiD Parallel as the
interface.
