Ah, but piracy being what it is, if downloads have happened (as they seem to
fear) what's to stop some enterprising soul duplicating some "Windows 98"
CDs with their own code inserted in strategic places.. e.g. less jerky mouse
pointers, an intelligent file system, secure network support etc.
I've just spent four hours trying to get a scanner recognised on a PC with
Windows 95 and failed. Microsoft can burn in hell for all I care.
