| Subject: | SCSI Hard Drives - Any types we can't use? |
Hello All,
Sorry to trouble you all with more questions about hard drives, but I'm looking to replace my Seagate SCSI hard drive, which hangs of a 50pin BlizzPPC SCSI controller. Looking at the bewildering array of drives on Dabs, can anybody say which drives you cannot use on a Blizzard PPC SCSI controller.
>From the looks of things, you can't mix LVD 68pin devices with SCSI-1 or SCSI-2
devices, which is a shame as http://www.dabs.com have some nice IBM drives. I can accept buying an adaptor to convert a 68pin scsi interface to the 50pin connectors on my SCSI cable, but I don't want to waste money buying a drive that I can't use.
Also, do the 68pin --> 50pin adaptors include termination for the 18pins which
are not in use on the SCSI bus?
