The fact is the card never worked from a clean install of Workbench 3.1 when

so it was just CGfx 3 and WB 3.1 - nothing else

You've probably been there now if you did get to go; unfortunately I'll
doubt it'll work, unless 3.5 makes the difference. Like I say I put CGfx
straight on after the 3.1 installation; that's when the problems began...

And for posterity here is mine (I take it you have a Phase5 '040 card as
that product 8512 is phase5's dev. ID, and that the 64K is the X-Surf card;
and finally 8512 again product 67 is the Cybervision 64 3D). It is just
precisely the same for me - it shows up as working, but isn't. Yours is
operating in Zorro II mode, mine switches to Zorro III because I have a
Zorro III Amiga - ruling out a dodgy buster chip. (i should hope not! It
cost me an arm and leg the rev. 11!)

(Note the CV64 3D isn't shown as it isn't in the Amiga 3000 atm, though I
have added what i think it said):

Like I say, ECS A3000 with 25MHz 68030 and 25MHz 68030. The first bank of
4MB is on the motherboard, 32BIT FAST RAM. The second 4MB is 16BIT FAST RAM
on the Microbotics 8UP! card. (hence the Zorro II address space), the last
bank is the 2MB of chip RAM.

The boards are as follows: 8UP! Zorro II card, GoldenGate 386SX card (Zorro
II address space), and the last card is a Buddha IDE card mapped into Zorro
II autoconfig space. (The Budda is from the same company as the X-Surf
hence the same Dev. ID of 4626).

The Cybervision 64 3D on my Zorro III Amiga had something like:

Board (unidentified) : Prod=8512/67($2140/$43) (@$4000000 256meg subsize
same)

Or something along those lines. Either way it showed the product ID, that
it'd taken 256megs of Zorro III address space and that subsize was the same;
whatever that is!! ;)

Thank god for the A3000's display enhancer, I'd be going nuts by now in
HiRes! (Although 50Hz PAL HiRes Laced, but flicker fixed, in 4 colours is
not much fun either ;)
