SCSI is likely to highlight the difference. By removing the bottleneck
of IDE, the differences in filesystem speed should be more noticeable.

OK, I read as though you were talking about the writing of the images,
not the creation.

So it should show up any differences in speed. I use a 1K block for the
CD source, and manage to create the ISO image fast enough for 8X on the
fly burning. When I get a 16X drive, I'll let you know whether a larger
block size is needed :)
