..of course, ClickBOOM said that they'd release a PPC version for free way
back when asked...then because of the WarpUP/PowerUP fiasco they almost
dropped PPC from their games_charter altogether....as the dust settled they
brought PPC back to the table...but not for Quake. I just wanted to support
CB so got Quake from them (rather than use the illegal ported version that
around 99% of PPC users seemed to be using at the time) Quake source code
was then released a year later for free use - and now I run GLQuakeWOS -
with beautiful 16bit smooth surfaces and layout and just sub-30 fps rates
