Bad news, I dont think you are gonna like this - unless someone has got it
to work finally and didnt tell me! ;-)

uh-ohh - I used a pixel64 setup until recently (Mediatored now) and bought
one of the Ethernet cards to use with it to share my net connection with my
PC.
I tried absolutely EVERYTHING that I could think of to get the card to work
and I only ever once got it to do anything (not actually networked btw) -
The *very first time* that I installed the MiamiDX demo off one of the
AACD's (9, iirc) it went past the "Contacting RArp server, please wait".
and continued on to the point after that - now at the time I didnt have a
clue about networks so I quit thinking that I would be able to run it again
later and get a network running. guess what? it didnt work the next time
over and did exactly like you describe above. :-/ I tried everything -
complete OS reinstalls, the works, you name it I tried it! to no avail.

I dont believe that AteoBusprefs actually checks the board over tbh, it used
to say exactly the same to me. When I bought my mediaor card I thought I
could use the ISA ateo ethernet card in my PC and take the PCI one out and
use in the Mediator thinking that the PC would 'find' the ISA card and
install a generic ethernet driver for it - It didnt find it :-/. I dont
think that my card works at all :-(
but since installing my mediator I have got my networks to run once (before
I reinstalled eveything! :-/ ) but then I doubt that you need to know that.
The only help/advice I got off Ateo was to use MiamiDX and not to use
Genesis! I never chased up getting my money back either (60ukp iirc!! or
10ukp for my mediator ethernet card!) I am also on the Ateo Mailing list and
never got any help off any of the other users on there once :-/
