Hello all,
I am trying to connect to the Rogers@home service via a cable modem here in
sunny Canada.
The problem I have is with MiamiInit. (with Miami and MiamiDX)
It gets so far and then a message window opens up that says
"Contacting RArp server, please wait".
The computer then freezes up 1 second later, and it will no longer respond
even to a soft reset.
I have tried it with all non essential patches removed and so I should have
an almost clean Workbench
My set up is as follows:
A1200 rev 1D4 (timing fixed)
Apollo 1260 with 32 Mb Ram
AteoBus with Pixel64 and Ateonet Ethernet card
OS 3.5
720 Mb 2.5" IDE hard drive
SurfSquirrel driving the following SCSI devices
1Gb HD
2GB HD
16X NEC CD drive
6416 Yamaha CDR/W
Microtek Scanmaker II
Has anyone successfully used an ateonet card?
I have the latest registered version of ateonet.device and the ateoBusPrefs
program states that it is correctly installed.
I will welcome all suggestions as the cable modem belongs to a friend and I
am only able to get my Amiga to his place once a week to try it, and so I
would like as may options to try when I am there.
