Sounds like the CV64 3D was on its way out. :( Well, at least it seems we
are having the same problem with Picasso 96 and CGfx - on two very different
Amigas (a Buster 11 Zorro III A3000, and a Zorro II Z4 A1200T - so there is
a problem with your board in Zorro II mode, and for me Zorro III mode).

On the very end of my card by the monitor port on the narrow bit of the card
is a small phase5 logo, does yours have this?
Either way SMT has been about some time now, my 1990 A3000 (i know that
because it's got March 1990 stamped inside ;) has two SMDs at least - the
XC68030 25MHz and the 68882 25MHz as well.
All CV64 3ds have SMT anyway.

It will do and that's my problem, that Enforcer has to be used to support
what to me is bad programming of the drivers. Apologies if there is a good
reason... Enforcer will slow the Amiga because the MMU is trying to 'trap'
illegal instruction calls, accesses to memory and stuff like that causing a
massive speed penalty, meaning you are frankly better off with AGA and your
CPU rather than a CV64 3D and Enforcer with your CPU.
Also - the fact that you have Zorro II and the Cv64 3D isn't the fastest of
gfx. cards means that with Enforcer going, it would be a complete waste of
time tbh.
I know this is no more help, but i'm still thinking - as we appear to have
the very same problem! Your card does show up in early startup doesn't it?
(Expansion Diagnostics section iirc) and in ShowConfig in SYS:Tools/? What
does it say about the card? On mine is says it's allocated 256MB of Zorro
III address space, which in Zorro II you can't - what memory has it
allocated out of the Zorro II memory map? 4MB? (Either in one 4MB block or
two 2MB segments, like the PIV in ZII mode)
I'm going to try installing CGfx 3 NOT the CV64 3D install disks, but the
generic CGfx 3 system i found on a CUCD here....
Maybe, just maybe.... ;)
