Perhaps it's because having the hardware to run it is quite unlikely,
and to find x other people with the same hardware near you to have a
deathmatch at user group meetings is even less likely.
And don't say play over the net, modem speeds suck. And not everyone
has ISDN. And it's more fun being in the same room so you can hear
your opponents die :)
