| Subject: | More on PPC...NSD patch??? |
When I installed my GVP060 late last year, it was after I had installed
OS 3.5. However, with my GVP accelerator the system would crash if I
didn't put the "skipromupdates scsi.device" thingy on the Setpatch
command. Someone else also told me to delete the NSD thing...
Well, since I put in my Cyberstorm, I took off the "skipromupdates"
command and everything works fine. However, I still can't recognize hard
drive partitions past 8 gigs, and apparently it's because I don't have
that NSD patch installed...and I know OS 3.5 has it.
The problem: where do I install it? I forgot which directory I deleted
it from! I want to say it belongs in DEVS: but I'm not 100% sure. Yes, I
could reinstall OS 3.5...I TRIED that, but the installation just hangs
forever [I've waited 2 hours] during the icon processing part. I seem to
remember there was an updaed version of the NSD patch in Boing Bag
1...true? Again, that gives me the same install problem. [Other than the
patch, I have Boing Bag 1 installed already...]
