Hi all
Well I am not that happy about yet another wait for a stand alone
amchine 80\ Why can't they offer the A1200/A4000 hack and the stand
alone at the same time? I don't understand why I have to wait. PPC
doesn't interest me much either as my pockets aren't that deep so a
cheap x86 option will be easier for me to afford. I will be passing
these remarks onto Amiga.
I have an A1200 it works just fine thank you, I don't want it hacked
up further and I doubt I would be able to afford a complete system
from eyetech judging on previous prices like the EZ-PC, EZ tower etc
Gary Peak: Would you like to make a few comments as you are on the
list... Please 80)
I am pretty sure AA's survey showed that most ppl weren't that
bothered about backwards compatibily. If software is the reason for
it then I would be quite happily buy the stand alone system now so
long it is internet enabled (web browser/email) and has one or two
good internet games Quake and Half-life counter strike will keep me
happy untill further software arrives. Having bought the hardware I
won't have much money for software anyway, for a little while at
least.
I am sure most of us won't mind a half finished DE with free
(maybe even cheap) upgrades as and when they become available. I was
banking on a new system just after christmas and another wait it just
disapointing. Come on Amiga give us a cheap x86 alternative please!
BTW The specs seem fair enough to me, why only 1 spare pci slot
though? That is the first thing my, p.c owning ex-amiga, brother
groaned about.
I guess if you want this all summed up in a few words.... Give me
half life counter strike a web browser email client and a cheap x86
machine and all will be well 80)

Peace
Zanthras
