It's market speak. CD/DVD just means a drive capable of using both, it's a
reassuring term (i.e. your 5000 CD collection isn't gonna be useless, and
your new DVD collection can expand..)

As for the modem, it's not like everyone has an ethernet port in their
living room, let alone the kind of connection required to connect to
the outside world at the speeds it allows.

I think that was a stupid, stupid idea. It would be MUCH MUCH more
productive to get one of IBM's POP designs, and then pay Ralph Schmidt
to port MorphOS. The lack of AGA etc. is workaroundable: you'll still
have an Amiga Classic next to it ;)
