Having been through all this on this list a few weeks ago, I settled for a
Yamaha CRW8824S, which can be had from http://www.dabs.com for approx £160.
Also recommended were drives by Plextor, Ricoh and Teac. Make sure any drive
you buy is supported by the software you intend to use. My drive works fine
with the generic scsi driver in MakeCD. Also, be aware that MakeCD can't write
Disk At Once to some Sony drives. Have a look at the website for a list of
supported drives. http://makecd.core.de
