I'm already part-way to doing what you suggest. I have an A4000 with
CyberstormPPC and PicassoIV as my main machine, and have just bought a
lapop, primarily to be able to transport all my Family Tree research
about, and add to it "in the field." A lot of my ancestors ended up in
fields, y'know ;))
What I intend to do is to network the two machines, using a X-surf or
similar on the Amiga, and a PCMCIA card for the laptop, thus enabling
me to work on either machine and shuttle the data back and forth.
I know an Amiga user who has this system up and running, but I don't
know if he still reads this list. Email me off-list and I'll put you
in touch if you want first-hand info.
