Sorry Ray! I thought it was a bit specialized for the list and
most readers wouldn't want it. I could be right, but here's the
reply I sent to Andrew. It's not a definitive reply but maybe
someone else is more practised with FW than I am, and can help a
bit more.
Well I don't know what way you've tried, nor what species of
fonts you're trying to add.
I suppose you know that fonts for FW have their own drawers
inside 'FWfonts': and looking at those I've got, I see a different
file format from Workbench fonts. In Appendix G I read that FW
supports 3 types of font: 'Type 1', 'Compugraphic', and 'NimbusQ'.
And "all the fonts supplied with FW are NimbusQ format". But it
doesn't say how to add new fonts, and I suppose that's what is
baffling you.
What I'd try is to make a new fonts dir inside 'FWfonts', put
some Compugraphic fonts in there, and see if FW finds them and can
use them.
As for bold, italic and underlined, these are options added to
existing 'normal' fonts by using the 'Layout: Type Specs' menu item.
If you do solve your problem, I'd be interested to hear how.
