I joined up with portland about two weeks ago and the only function I have
found that doesn't work is fgets(). Don't let that put you off though
portland is brilliant if you just want to get to know PHP. The one thing I
dislike about portland is the fact that it takes around 2-3 days before
your (sub)domain name becomes visible to the rest of the net but the ftp
account becomes active a few hours after you sign-up
