| Subject: | OS3.5 HELP!! |
Hello!!
I bought 2 weeks ago OS3.5 CD with ROM chips.
And today I finally found some time and installed OS3.5 [I was lazy to open whole big
tower and install ROM chips, but for now I have ROM kicked in file and it worked].
But... like always - ANNOYING problems :((((
First: when installed Os.3.5 I noticed that:
- my system is refreshing SOOO terribly slow, like I have 020 and AGA opened
at 640x512 :(((
[I for now have .GIFs in Workbench and Windows, as for some reason, WB can't
put .JPEGs or 24BIT IFFs (!!!) in background :((((( ]
- all colours are messed up!!! Mui for example look terrible with purple colours!
- I can't set .JPG background at all!!! :( Whenever I try I get error message:
"can't load blabla.jpg" and set it in background :(((
- I removed all [I mean - ALL] patches, all from wbstartUP and UserStartUP,
but no help :(
- I 'installed' StartUPSeq. from 1993. from workbench 3.1 disks [with
exception of first line: kick2file] - still no help! System is awful sloooow
:(((
- I even installed BoingBag1 and downloaded & read all FAQs about OS3.5 - NO
help :(((((((((((
- even worse - installer installed old DEMO version of Miami OVER my everyday
use, registered one!!! I was pissed! Thanx lord PFS3 have undelete...
Do u have ANY ideas what to do?
Will installing ROMs maybe help? I have to wait my mate to come here
and install it, I don't want to open again my tower...
I think I'll switch back to 3.1 and Magellan... Geez, I can't believe that
everything I ever bought for Amiga [either hardware or software] was messing a
lot.....
