Subject:Trouble with CD?

Hello,

I recently heard I should be able to use my IDE-CDROM with scsi.device.
Is this really so, the OS won´t find the device if I replace the
ages-old atapi.device in the mountfile with scsi.device. The
atapi.device got installed as a default driver during OS3.5
installation, although I still had to copy it over from my old 3.0
partition...
