If she goes to Amazon and types "cross-stitch birds" in the search
requester, a list of books with cross-stitch patterns of birds will
appear.

Many years ago Brad Schenk wrote a program called Stitchery for
converting IFF pictures to needlework patterns. As this was written with
the language called "Director", it probably won't work on a modern
Amiga. If you have a WB 1.3 machine handy you could try it. (Aminet) -
or it might work on UAE. Director doesn't like AGA.

Probably an ARexx program could be written using the ARexx commands in
DPaint or PPaint to do the same thing.
