Subject:Amiga 3000 Kickstart Shannigans :)

Hi All,

Okay, I have pretty much got myself an A3K at long last (10 years of waiting
- my 50p pocket money in 1990 didn't go far, well... :)) anyway, I now know
it takes the form of SuperKickstart, since the system uses a selectable v1.4(1.3)
KS ROM and a 2.0 ROM (I believe it is a v36.x ROM, not a 2.04 v37.x ROM), which
will 'do' initially.

Now, intend to use Kickstart 3.1 with the A3000 system, what I need to know
is; how do I go about this. I understand that the ROMs are on a ROM tower;
and there are four sockets on said board. I was wondering: are these four sockets
occupied Lo-word 16BIT 1.3 and 2.0 ROM and the other two a Hi-word 16BIT 1.3
and 2.0 ROM? Ie: two 1.3 chips, two 2.0 chips? Or are these chips on the ROM
tower even 'normal' kickstart ROMs?

Is it possible to remove the ROM tower, and place normal A3000 Kickstart chips
in the place of where the ROM tower goes? Someone please help, as I'm not too
sure on this area of the A3000's anatomy!

All the best,

Nick.
