A recent post (today) on ANN (www.ann.lu) claims:
"A new Amiga model has been promised by Christmas by Jim Drew (remember
him?) Rumour has it beta versions of Workbench 4.0 and Kickstart 4.0 (via
softkick) are already available on warez sites, with beta features such as
memory protection, network connectivity, and virtual memory. Contrary to
popular belief, Utilities Unlimited did not go quietly into the night, they
merged with a little known book publisher called "Atlan Formularies" and
have been quietly designing the new hardware/software of this new system.
Jim Drew was quoted as saying "This time it's going to happen. Made In
America will mean something once again!" Check out http://kult.rantradio.com

The URL didn't work for me and this post seems stupidly unreliable. Anybody
want to comment on wether they have heard owt? Not being a 'warez surfer' I
can't say I've ever seen these beta versions either... hmmm. I wouldn't get
excited by this, it seem pretty unreliable.
