Infinitiv A1500

The Micronik tower is made of a standard A1200 motherboard encased with a Micronik tower upgrade. The extra space provided allows easy expansion through a number of slots. Like the A1400, Zorro support is added through the Z3i busboard. The Z3i board features 5x Zorro III (Zorro II and Zorro III compatible), 1 ISA, 3x PCI slots (for cheap PCI cards), as well as a SCSI controller and A4000 CPU slot. Unfortunately the PCI slots seem rather under used requiring a bridgeboard to work or a Penitrator Pentium-on-a-card. Zorro III cards can only be used in conjunction with a A4000 accelerator such as the CyberVision. If you want to use an A1200 trapdoor accelerator the machine will be restricted to Zorro II cards. The Zorro III slots are also not as fast as the Zorro 3 slots found on the A4000. These machines are available in different variations including versions containing a 020, 040, and 060 accelerators, as well as Picasso IV and 20Mb+ fast RAM.

The tower itself can be obtained separately if you already have an accelerator and, being full-sized, comes with a large amount of space. By default the Micronik tower comes with two 5.25" bays, 3.5 bays designed for floppy and hard drives, as well as an external Amiga keyboard. If your tower is filled it can be easily extended by clipping extra drive bays on to the top of the machine.
