I made myself some DOSscripts to switch between different saved prefs which
I called QwikPrefs. Each had an icon with Iconx default tool. each was
just:
copy System:prefs/presets/printerBJC-610.prefs ENV:Sys/printer.prefs
copy System:prefs/presets/printerBJC-610gfx.prefs ENV:Sys/printergfx.prefs
or:
copy System:prefs/presets/printerNX-1000.prefs ENV:Sys/printer.prefs
copy System:prefs/presets/printerNX-1000gfx.prefs ENV:Sys/printergfx.prefs
...to use your printer example. Perhaps, for this, it could include running
InitPrinter if necessary. It could also be written in ARexx, but it would
make it a couple lines longer (big deal, right?).
