I had heard that eliminating some patches by integrating there
functions in the OS was another goal. Do you know, did Olaf and company have
time to do this?

Unfortunately, the ole 500 won't benefit, unless I can find on '030
accel for it. The BBS A3K will, hopefully, be just a smidge more stable.
