This is not a PC, we aren't dealing with a fixed palette...you define
a colour number as a colour value (for example colour 0 in the
palette could be Red 15, Green 02, Blue 13).

Your are talking about AGA here, because OCS/ECS can only handle
colour values upto 15 (for example Red 15, Green 15, Blue 15).
If you multiply 15x15x15=the answer should be 4096 (4096 colours
though HAM). The AGA chipset could do 256x256x256= should
be 16.7 million colours (though HAM ofcourse).
