Black isn't necessarily colour 0.
A palette for a palette-based image is a list of colours. There could be
from 2 to 256 colours. (Or more in theory.)
Colour zero might be RED 00, GREEN 00, BLUE 00 which is black, but it
could be RED A3, GREEN 68, BLUE 00 which would be an orange. Or any
other colour.
Likewise colour 1, colour 2 etc can be any colour. Several might be the
same as each other.
So the palette is a list of colours in order.
What you want to do is swap two of the colours, 0 and another, and then
Remap the image so that it the appearance is restored. This is easily
done in PPaint, which saves GIFs.
