Try the latest version (2.27) of Delitracker with the latest player and Chris
Hodges' new 14 bit genie off Aminet (this archive includes the latest XM
player). This will use hardly any of your chip RAM at all (it loads the song
into fast memory - handy as most high quality XM's come in at 1.5Mb+ these
days). Don't use any of the other noteplayer genies supplied with Deli (eg 32
channel noteplayer, etc) as they may well use up your chip ram.
I also have an even later unreleased version of the XM player which supports
ping-pong looping of samples, basically making XM's play back perfectly. If
anyone's interested, mail me and I'll talk to the author of the player.
You could try Eagleplayer but the reproduction of the XMs' effects will be
nowhere near as good as Deli as it doesn't support a lot of the more complex
effects (real panning, etc).
