I powered my ppc fan from the psu in my custom tower box by simply
cutting off the plug from a 5 volt lead using glue to hold the wires
into the plug of the fan as I couldn't find a suitable plug quickly,
I'm sure you could find one easily enough though. Obviously its worth
checking the supply to make sure you don't get it the wrong way round
but the wire colours are fairly obvious. I also needed to add a
surface mounted heatsink on the bvision chip (stuck on with silicon)
and two extra mains powered fans I nicked from the some archaic tape
streamers I was given at college.
probably amount to little over £2, although I'm not certain of the
cost of the fan plug.
