| Subject: | A590 fix |
From: "Michael Gravgaard" <Michael@Smallville97.freeserve.co.uk>
Hello all,
If you read this message you might notice the time is rather early on
Sunday morning....this is because I have just repaired my A590...I can now
use the 1MB on it for useful stuff I like scanning, though the curse of
Commodore seems to have made my A590 want to destroy some of the
IDC connectors on my large SCSI lead...damn it...an £8 SCSI lead too...
The problem with my A590 was/is the the stupid Commodore powersupply
could not hack it...well it has lasted from 1989, so you judge it...I am now
powering my A590 from my SCSI harddrive's internal SCSI lead (do not
even ask). It seems to work as a temp solution, though I really need
to get hold of a 4 pin DIN plug, my friend Dave who runs an electronic
shop tells me that this will be very differcult to find.
My question is do you know where I can get one of the plugs?...The 4 pin
DIN is exactly the same as a CD32 powerlead one (just incase you did
not all ready know that)
Thank you for any help
Michael
