Yes and no. The people printing the cover sent it to the people printing the
interior a day later than they were meant to, which made distribution rushed
- I expect it to be patchy for a day or two.

The other thing to remember is that it takes time to get distribution worked
out properly. I was in Oxford St. today and saw it in several news agents,
but not in the massive Borders magazine section, which is the only place in
the area where you can buy AF. D'oh!

Finally, although we've got reasonably wide distribution, remember it's an
Amiga mag! we can't afford to put TOO many out. It's not going to be in every
newsagent, but should be in most large and mid size ones.

WHSmiths use a rated stocking system whereby every mag is given a rating and
appears in more or less stores depending on that rating. Inevitably we aren't
in every Smiths, but we are in a fair few. Not easy to predict which as they
use a logic all their own...

BTW, I'm very pleased that everyone seems to like the mag so far, but don't
be afraid to criticise! (I'm sure the team can take it - they better be able
to because it won't be as bad as the criticisms I'm going the be levelling
internally, seeing as I am a deranged perfectionist!). We will be tweaking
the formula continually, doing everything we can to make it better, so your
criticisms are most welcome.

Finally, I want letters for issue 2, so if any of you would like to vent on
the magazine or the current Amiga situation, then e-mail
interactive@amigactive.com - I'm looking forward to your letters. Not so that
I can cruelly mock you in the letters page, honest ;^).

Cheers,

Andrew Korn, Amiga Active magazine
